She holds a degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Population Studies from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo. She is interested in topics such as segregation and socio-spatial inequalities, urban planning, aging, and old age. She has completed academic residencies at the University of Münster, Germany (2009-2010) and the University of Chile (2017).
