Javier Omar Martínez Abarca is a Clinical Laboratory Technician certified by the General Directorate of Industrial Technological Education, a Bachelor in Biology, and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Guadalajara, specializing in Environmental Management and Air Quality.

He has teaching experience in Ecology and Environment, Chemistry, and Biology at the high school level. In the research field, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Environment and Human Communities of the University of Guadalajara, based at CUCBA, where he is also a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific outreach journal Sembrando Conciencia (ISSN 2448-5055).

Currently, he serves as the Secretary General of Biólogos Colegiados de Jalisco, A.C. Previously, he held key positions such as Head of the Climate Change and Environmental Planning Department, as well as Head of the Environmental Assessment and Protection Department in the General Directorate of Environment of the Municipality of San Pedro Tlaquepaque. He is also a professor in the Department of Sustainability and Territorial Sciences at the University Center of Tlajomulco, University of Guadalajara.

Mr. Martínez Abarca has published articles in peer-reviewed, indexed international journals on projects analyzing air quality in parks and its importance for cities. In addition, he is the author of book chapters addressing topics related to environmental sciences, community work, and field practices.

His career combines academic, research, and environmental management experience, standing out as a committed leader in sustainability and scientific outreach for the benefit of communities.
