Dr. César Augusto Chávez Orozco:

He is a professor and researcher in Environmental Engineering at the Central University of Ecuador; he holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Extremadura, Spain; a PhD in City, Territory, and Sustainability from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico; a Master's degree in Acoustic Engineering from the University of Cádiz, Spain; a Master's degree in Safety, Health, and Environment from the Central University of Ecuador; an International Diploma in DESDEA from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico; and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, Ecuador. He has also studied at the Equinoccial Technological University, the International University of Ecuador, the Central University of Ecuador, the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, the University of Chile, and the University of Cádiz. He has given lectures, presentations, workshops, undergraduate and master's courses, and refresher seminars in areas related to safety, occupational health, and the environment at various public and private institutions in Ecuador. He is the author of book chapters and articles published in Ecuador, Colombia, and Mexico on occupational health and safety and environmental management. He is a member of the Geotechnologies Applied to Environmental Sciences research group. He is a full-time professor in the Environmental Engineering program at the Central University of Ecuador. He served as Coordinator of the Master's Program in Quality, Safety, and Environment at FIGEMPA (National Institute of Environmental Studies) of the Central University of Ecuador. He also served as Community Outreach Coordinator. He currently serves as Director of the Environmental Engineering program.
